Raised in Long Island, New York, Sheena Pointer relocated with her husband and family to Waterbury, Connecticut in 2016 in pursuit of a brighter future. During that transition, ideas scribbled inside a simple marble notebook became the beginning of Pretty In Primp LLC.

Officially launched in 2017, Pretty In Primp began with a simple mission: to create beautiful, affordable custom pieces while showing Sheena’s children that with creativity, determination, and hard work, they too could build something of their own.

What began with tutus and her beloved “Primpcesses” soon grew into something much bigger. Combining her background in Early Childhood Education with her love for creativity, Sheena expanded Pretty In Primp into community experiences including the Made In Mahogany Fashion Show and Isn’t She Lovely, an etiquette and educational program celebrating confidence, growth, and achievement.

Today, Pretty In Primp continues to evolve through custom creations, parties & events, business services, and community experiences—all while staying true to the creativity and heart that started it all.
